Friends and family are invited to an open house on Sunday, October 23 at the Green’s residence where we will celebrate the life of Benjamin between 2:00 and 5:00 pm.
Benjamin Franklin Green was born October 21, 1930 to Benjamin and Ethel (Qualls) Green. The family lived in the small coal mining town of Bicknell, Indiana where Benjamin graduated from Edwardsport High School. He served our country during the Korean War as a military policeman in the U.S. Air Force.
Following his return home in 1953, he met the love of his life, Norma Jean Beanblossom. They were married and had the second love of him life, Linda Joanne. There was more love to come with his granddaughter and great-grandchildren and he took great pride in helping and watching them grow.
Mr. Green was a carpenter with a long and successful general contracting business, Green Construction Company. He retired from MSD Lawrence Township where he taught Building Trades from 21 years. Each year he and his students build a beautiful house from start to finish. Ben taught all the men in his family, as well as many friends, the many aspects of the building trades. He loved his work and continued building even after several attempts as retiring.
Following retirement he enjoyed reading, watching movies, and taking care of his flower garden. Benjamin’s happiest days were spent with his family. His favorite thing was dinner with his wife, who he thought was the best cook in the world. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend and will be missed deeply.
Benjamin passed on October 13, 2016. He is survived by his wife Norma Jean; daughter Linda Benjamin and her husband Randy Clampitt; granddaughter Stephanie Kay Romano and her husband Phil Romano; great-granddaughter Callie Anna Romano and great-grandson Vincent Benjamin Romano.

I am so sorry to hear of the death of Benjamin. The passing away of a loved one is always with much sorrow. May we have faith and confidence in the Bible’s promise of a time when pain, sickness and death are a thing of the past (Revelation 21:3, 4). My condolences are with the family at this difficult time.
